December 13 – Action. When it comes to aspirations, it’s not about ideas. It’s about making ideas happen. What’s your next step? (Author: Scott Belsky)
I miss the down home, actually inspiring prompts of “Best of 2009”, when it was just Gwen’s brain and not a giant parade of guest post prompts. All these people who are genuine in their interest in reflection and community online, but when they are rolled together are just one giant lukewarm sidebar advert.
This prompt is lame. I am kind of refusing to answer it in protest.
I’m still thinking about action vs. ideas, but maybe not coming to the the implied conclusion.
But none shall know these thoughts because I am a bit miffed at the lackluster nature of this prompt, and many of the others this year.
I hate to be critical.
(Especially since I was already irate earlier about the lack of editing/fear of standing up to the author that created that grammar clusterf*&%$* in the first couple of days.)
But really? A prompt about inertia is the best we can do? Who is this challenging? What is it causing me to remember fondly or learn from?
Fortune Cookies are more inspiring. Even the ones that aren’t fortunes.
