but literally just a moment.
I am grateful though.
The past few days have been packed. And I am pretty certain this week will be as well.
But for now, it’s 2am and I have having a grilled cheese sandwich and tomato soup while watching some pbs show on the Shroud of Turin. hahahah
I have a funny way of unwinding, no?
But the busy-ness has been good.
Tonight I went to see Patti Lupone in concert.
You realize, of course, that inside of just few months I have seen Mandy Patinkin perform “Oh What a Circus” and Patti sing “Don’t Cry for Me Argentina.”
This is a pleasing fact.
And considering the last time I saw Patti onstage was in the London production of “Sunset Boulevard” . . . well, let’s just say this concert was far more satisfying. She was an incredibly attentive performer– playing the full stage and making lots of eye contact. Very fun. And her performance of “Ladies Who Lunch” from Company was truly wonderful. I don’t usually enjoy the song so much. Her comedic expression and timing is impressive.
These were the last of our season tickets at WVU. I can honestly say that subscription was one of the best purchases I have ever made. I saw lots of good shows, it got me out of town frequently and inspired me to take more trips to New York. I shall be purchasing tickets next year again for sure.
